It is a new year with new resolutions for 2012. My ambitions are to run many more miles than I did last year and to reach my goal I need to get in the best shape possible. The first step was to choose my footwear as it is important when your running long distances.

Brook's Men's PureGrit is their latest footwear for trail running. The shoe design is really different from the shoes that are out there. The neon green outsole with black and neon green colors really give the shoe a nice bright look. The shoe is very lightweight at 8.9oz and almost feels like I'm not wearing shoes at all. The shoe features a unique one-piece outsole that has a concave shape. When force is applied to the outsole the piece splays out to provide a more balanced lay-down.

The Brook's PureGrit shoes provide just the right amount of support, cushioning and traction. The PureGrit was designed for trail and off-road running. I took these shoes for a test run for 2hrs on the trail and my feet could run another hour no problems without pain. Brook's estimates the Brook's PureGrit from the PureProject line to last approximately 250-300 miles.

The Brook's PureGrit is the best shoe for the trail and off-road running. The tech and design in the shoe will appeal to runners who want a quality shoe that perform well on the trail.
