I have a $1500 treadmill in the basement but it does not get much use as I hardly ever go to the basement. Since this Elliptical Trainer is much smaller than a regular one you will have to learn to use the machine. A regular size Elliptical has long strides while the E1000 has faster short strides. I was surprised how much of a workout I got out of the machine. When I used full size LiveStrong Elliptical in the store I wasn't tired even after 10 minutes of use but the E1000 with shorter strides started working my muscles the first minute on the machine.
The Stamina InMotion Elliptical Trainer has the feel of a full size Elliptical with just as good of a workout too.
